I is for Inequality

Last June I wrote about "blue eyes" but played the guess-what-I-am-talking-about game because I was worried about offending anyone. So to be clear...I SUPPORT EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL HUMANS REGARDLESS OF AGE, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE/COLOR, RELIGION, NATIONALITY, GENDER IDENTITY, OR DISABILITY.

The inequality in the United States that is marched across our TV screen each night is heart-breaking and embarrassing. To hear the uneducated and prejudicial comments from the GOP contenders is enough to make me want to vomit. As retribution for his bigotry, the equating of one of those men's names to something disgusting so if you search for him on google you find that horror isn't right either. Then I read the news from the world where the death penalty is enforced for consensual homosexual acts, and I am mortified and frightened for everyone.

WHY CAN'T LOVE JUST BE LOVE! I have told Darling Daughter that her father and I have one rule in this area...Love whomever you love because you have a connection of the heart and the mind. Until everyone raises their children this way, I pray for our world.

  1. So true! It is scary to see how as much as I think things have changed, they have stayed the same. Even at times, I feel we are going backwards. Very nice honest post.
